Who i work best with

At Golden Hour Therapy, I specialize in working with two overlapping but unique groups of clients: those struggling with OCD, anxiety, and phobias and those navigating autism and/or ADHD (diagnosed or self-identified). Whether you’re spiraling in anxious loops, struggling to get anything started, or masking so hard you forget what’s underneath, therapy here is built to work with your brain, not against it. You’re allowed to show up messy. You’re allowed to want help without having to “fix everything.”

WHAT THERAPY LOOKS LIKE

I mainly use two evidence-based approaches:

  • ERP (Exposure and Response Prevention) – helping you face the fear and unlearn the compulsions.

  • I-CBT (Inference-Based CBT) – helping you understand why the thought felt real, and how OCD tricks your brain into doubt.

OCD doesn’t need more reassurance. It needs retraining and that’s what we’ll do, together. You don’t have to explain the thought perfectly. You don’t have to be fearless. You just have to be willing to take the first step.

We’ll work on things like emotional regulation, task initiation, motivation, masking/unmasking, perfectionism, rejection sensitivity, and building systems that actually work for you. Sessions are neurodivergent-affirming, non-pathologizing, and built around your needs and strengths. No pressure to be “high functioning.” No pressure to have it all figured out. Just space to be you and learn tools to make life feel more doable.

Individual Therapy

Find your way out of the loop. Whether you're caught in OCD, anxiety, perfectionism, or constant self-doubt, therapy can help you break free from the patterns keeping you stuck. Together, we'll focus on building self-trust, increasing flexibility, and helping you move toward the life you want—not the life fear tells you to live.

$200 per 45-55 minute session

OCD & Anxiety Support Group

Because recovery happens in community, too. Join a supportive group of adults learning how to navigate OCD and anxiety with greater confidence, self-compassion, and freedom. Each session includes discussion, education, and practical skills you can apply to everyday life.

$25 per session | 6:45 - 7:45 PM Meeting virtually every other Thursday.

  • Yes! I work with teens (13+) and adults, especially those navigating OCD, anxiety, ADHD, or autism. If you're neurodivergent or have felt misunderstood in therapy before, you're in the right place.

  • ERP stands for Exposure and Response Prevention. We’ll gradually face the fears or situations that cause anxiety, while not doing the rituals OCD wants you to do. It’s like retraining your brain to understand that you’re safe, without giving in to compulsions.

  • Inference-Based CBT helps you understand how OCD tricks you into believing the possibility of something bad is the same as evidence that it’s true. It teaches you to change how you relate to your thoughts, rather than just reacting to them.

  • Yes, all sessions are offered virtually through a secure, HIPAA-compliant platform. You can attend therapy from anywhere in Rhode Island or Massachusetts.

  • I chose not to work directly with insurance companies so that I can provide care based on your needs not insurance requirements. Being a private-pay practice allows for greater privacy, flexibility, and individualized treatment while also allowing you to focus on specialized training and providing the highest quality care possible. Clients with out-of-network benefits may be eligible for reimbursement through their insurance plan.
